大家好! I am still alive

這幾個禮拜﹐跟我的電腦還在混戰中...戰情相當激烈。Got most of my pictures recovered. But the most important video is still to be found... So I probably won't be actively online till next week or so...

上星期﹐心情複雜... 現在好一點﹐但還有一些事不是完全地放得下。沒有結果的堅持﹐都是算了吧。我想我天生不是一個negotiator的材料。在heated discussions裡面我總是會忘了我的論點﹐然後慢慢覺得對方是有道理。超級長頭草性格真情表露。都是算了吧...

一句講晒﹐情人節交換溫柔失敗。

失敗後才在雜誌看到一段訪問。訪問是問Wasabi(a 903 Guy DJ)什麼是浪漫。他說"中學的事後曾在一間以關門的教堂門外吃蛋糕﹐當時他認為這就是浪漫。現在他覺得在平常生活發現情人的需要﹐然後在節日裡面送給對方就是浪漫。" 點解我不早一點看這個article呢?原來我還在中學生的思想﹐而這些在成年人裡面這些是classified as 幼稚和無聊。

我要學習什麼是成年人的浪漫!!!

年初一﹐無o野攪so decided to clean up my computer and redo OS. 不過在陰差陽錯之下我一些photos和一個很有紀念價值的video被鏟掉。唔開心左一個鐘﹐週圍搵我的CDs看看有沒有backup。搵來搵去到搵唔到。可惜可惜... 但是我想最寶貴的memories全都會藏在我的心裡面。如果我不老人癡呆的話...

昨天﹐跟Henry&his MBA friends打羽毛球。Peter兄一個打五個﹐還好像若無其事咁。實在令我太難堪啦。打了不夠一個鐘﹐人像虛脫一樣。今天整個身體都不再屬于自己了。手痛﹐背痛﹐腳痛... 只不過是半年未打過羽毛球﹐竟然會弄成這樣。(不過好像是半年沒有做運動啦﹐想起來也有些過份。)好!!要好好努力啦!!

我公司攪了一個懷舊annual dinner。很多同事有不同的打扮!!有趣有趣!!!

buffet好味﹐但是那些games實在太interesting。攪到為食的我也忘了吃dessert。第一個game是由一班老外老闆唱Hong Kong Pops﹐讓我們估歌仔。超難估﹐很失望一隻都估唔到... 第二個game是drinking contest。都非常之interesting。他們要矇住雙眼然後為對方喝beer。難度非常之高﹐也很interesting...但是最緊張當然是lucky draw啦﹐幸運的我贏了一個USB Wireless Optical Mouse!!!都幾好o家!!

工作突然間排山倒海地沖過來﹐累... is weekend here yet?

Free Web Hosting

OK. I have been trying to signup for a decent free web hosting for 1 week now. It's either that I have to post on the forum and wait for response or email them and wait for response. Both methods seem not to work. I haven't gotten any response back from any of them.

All I want is more than 25 meg of webspace, PHP & CGI support, prefer no ad or small ad... that's it...

If anyone has good suggestions, please leave me a comment. Thanks!

[Dec 26] - 石澳行山

Boxing Day 一反常態﹐做一些健康一點的運動。一早起床﹐已經累倒不得了。但是聽Peter說這條行山經不是太難行﹐所以沒有心理準備﹐也忘了我的Physical能力跟運動形的Peter是相差一大段。一開始不停的up hill同o的路不是paved的攪到我想死。超難行。行行行﹐行o左2.5鐘。終於由土地灣行到大浪灣。我覺得我今次的創舉都算不錯了!

[Dec 24] - Pennisula & 蘭桂坊

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun. 首先到媽媽家裡吃了一頓很豐富的聖誕大餐。吃飽飽﹐到天星碼頭坐船到TST。很浪漫的idea﹐但是真的太多人了。在TST兜來兜去兜o左15分鐘﹐終於成功進入半島酒店。從未到過Pennisula的我有點期待﹐但是原來都是跟其他hotel無什麼分別。上了Felix﹐感覺好像包場一樣。o的人通常吃完飯就走了。只有我們一大班人﹐又唱又跳。一行二十幾個人﹐我們去親邊道其他人都怕了我們立即彈開。 好攪笑!我o地又同的performer點歌﹐又唱歌。都幾好玩!

玩到Felix收檔﹐去了蘭桂坊join Gigi and friends。我o地已經由二十幾人變到十幾人。但是到了那間小小的club還是好AR JAR。又攪到好似包場咁﹐週圍o的人都怕了我們。不過我們飲醉酒的行為都幾恐怖和失禮。最可憐都算周仔。唔知點解﹐在失控的場面他通常都是受害者。昨晚不論是男和女都不停地將他的衫解開。可能他們都覺得他的Deep V打扮不夠喉。但是我要強調﹐我只是目擊我無參與o家﹐我也沒拍照片。都算夠friend啦!!

美食大發現-印尼餐廳

今天大亨出差來到沙田﹐我帶來他去印尼餐廳。那裡的lunch set很好吃!! $45 which includes a drink or soup. 加$5還有Gado Gado o添﹐都算幾低!!

Say no to auto-pay!!

Yesterday, I checked my monthly visa bill and to my surprise I found out that my internet charge is $263 instead of $118 from previous months. I immediately called to investigate on the reason for this surcharge. I was notified by them that my promotional period has expired and they have renewed the internet service using regular prize. They stated that I was notified on this issue by email and mail, but I never received any mail nor have I checked my I-Cable email that I never use.

1. Why is a one way notification sufficient enough to renew my plan through auto-pay at a higher price? What if I don’t agree with such terms? I will have no way of finding out until I check my email or receive my Visa bill. Anybody with common sense would ask such questions, but no. I was told by HSBC card center that during the approval of such auto payment, HSBC will not know the auto-pay maximum amount or the expiry date of such auto-pay. In other words, if I-Cable feels like it they can debit as much money as they want and as long as they want. Isn't this rediculous.
   
2. I suggested to them to use personal telephone to notify such important information but they told me that they do not have such policy. How much effort is needed just to make a simple call? It seems that they have sufficient resources to cold call my personal mobile phone on other promotional products.


3. I then suggested to them to use an alternative email address to notify me on such important notices. I was told that this also can’t be done. I don’t understand how difficult it is to add an alternative address. If this is a system limitation, then I am certain I can change the email address of such notifications to an email address that I will check.


4. They renewed my service at a higher price in Nov 28 without my knowledge and agreement. I called on Dec 12 and would like to stop the regular package and immediately join the promotion package. They refused such request and insisted that I need to complete this months of regular payment before I can enjoy the promotion. No pro rata can be done.


5. To avoid further confusion in the future, I asked I-Cable if I can discontinue my auto-pay service and pay by cash every month. I was amazed that I was not allowed to do such arrangement only if I pay $1000 cash in advance. The funniest thing is that I can't even cut the auto-pay service when I contact HSBC. HSBC tells me that I need to have I-Cable's conscent to terminate the autopay. What the hell!! It's my money!! I then asked if I can cancel my card. And surprise again, they told me even if I cancel the card I-Cable can still debit my card and HSBC is dumb enough to pay them. And I will owe HSBC money. What is the world coming to?
   

But luckily I have Plan Z. Plan Z is to say that I have lost my credit card and the auto-pay will need to be renewed on the new card. Funny world!

開心大發現-為食天王

星期六﹐由朝食到晚。吃完午飯﹐去旺角行街街。行o下電器鋪﹐看看小家電。行o下波鞋街﹐看看流行玩物。行行o下碰到一間裝修得很潮的日本餐廳。看看那個下午茶menu。那些價錢只是$16-24的Japanese Tea Set非常吸引。不肚餓的我們也決定進去try try。漂亮和舒服的atmosphere已經令我們覺得很開心。試完那些美食﹐我們可以肯定這個開心大發現是成功的!!夏雪的地址是旺角山東街50號1&2樓。好像是在波鞋街附近。

啊Shawn終於浸完咸水﹐回歸翻來啦。吃完下午茶﹐met up with Shawn and Calvin to go for dinner。在附近吃了﹐新加坡菜。因為太飽﹐所以只是吃了小小。吃完晚飯﹐又在朗豪坊吃dessert。那些dessert的外表就好漂亮啦﹐但是食落都是不外如事。

Farewell IBM

今天跟IBM一班同事飲茶﹐原來又多兩個同事將會離開IBM啦。在Security Team裡面只留下啊Sam一個,真的希望他會一帆風順。也要很感謝Rex幫我burn這些很值得紀念的照片。在IBM兩年﹐得到了很多。Many experiences earned, lessons learnt, friends met, and last but not least 當然是大亨啦。Anyways, thank you and good bye IBM

1. 財務管理專家
在U的時候開始用Quicken來keep track我每天的洗費。雞毛蒜皮的expense都會在我的Quicken裡出現。ie.到7-11買了一排gum﹐在街上跌了幾Mun... 我每個月看看我的income和expense都會跟自己說:下個月要節衣縮食。
2. 大姐姐
我有三個妹﹐一個細老。他們的年齡是在10-15歲之間。
3. 混血兒
Believe it or not.我是個混血兒。我外公是一半Indonesian﹐一半British的混血兒。我外婆是一半Indian﹐一半Chinese的混血兒。
4. 半個回教徒
我生長在一個不傳統的回教family﹐不太相信Ala真神﹐但是也不太喜歡吃豬肉。希望不吃豬會上天堂。
5. 有女性朋友
有人常常投訴我所有朋友都是男生。但是我想澄清我是有女性朋友的﹐只不過他們全都在外國!
